Arnold W. Grenn, Sr.
Arnold Whitney Grenn, Sr. was born to Earl and Eunice Grenn on August 26, 1938, the youngest of six children. While they lived in several places, Arnold always said that he was from Hog Chain, MS.
He played football at Brookhaven High School and earned a scholarship to play at LSU.
After some jobs teaching and working in the florist business, he earned a living in the oil and gas business but his life was his faith, family and dear friends, his love of nature, especially birds, being a shade-tree mechanic, travelling, a good cup of coffee and keeping things simple. He was generous and tender-hearted. If he had something and you needed it, it was yours.
He is preceded in death by his wife Barbara Kennedy Grenn, to whom he devoted himself tirelessly in her last years through a lengthy illness; his parents, his sisters, Earline Esber, Neva Collins and Joyce Gill and a brother, Carl Grenn
Mr. Grenn is survived by his wife, Betty Coon Grenn who made his last years enjoyable and peaceful and brought much love and comfort to his family; his sons, Arnold W. "Chip" Grenn, Jr. (Selena), Jason Lewis Grenn, Jarvis Summers Grenn (Lela), Trevor Kennedy Grenn (Amy), and Andy Coon; his daughters, Roxanne King and Regina Morgan (Mitch) and sixteen grandchildren, Jacob Grenn, Dr. John Caleb Grenn (Emily), Kaity Grenn (Brian), Jim Grenn, Aiden Grenn, Dalton Patterson, Madeline Grenn, Carter Grenn, Ashley King, Taylor Morgan (Sam), Crystal Woodall (Cody), Luke Morgan, Lindsey King, Cameron King, Kacie King and Jessie King, all of him he adored and they did right back.
