Carley Richard Parker

Services will be held at 10:00 AM Saturday at Corinth Baptist Church  for Mr. Carley Richard Parker, 88, of Purvis, MS.
He died Wednesday, July 13, 2016 at his residence.
Interment will be in Pleasant Home Cemetery.
Mr. Parker was Lamar County Chancery Clerk for 16 years and was on the Board of the Lamar Christian School for years. He worked with the Lamar County Fire Dept. for several years. He was a charter member of Corinth Baptist Church and served as Sunday School teacher for over 40 years. He was president of MS Farm Bureau and on the board for several years. He was a U.S. Air Force Veteran.
Mr. Parker was the best husband, daddy, papa and Big papa anyone could ever ask for. He will be sorely missed by many people.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Jesse and Amy Inez Parker; two brothers, Howard Parker and Reginald Parker; one daughter, Diane Jean Saucier.
He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Alice M. Parker; two sons, Darrell Parker of Missouri and John Hoime of Massachusetts; four daughters, Peggy Hoime of Massachusetts, Delores Parker of Purvis, Carleen Burge of Lumberton and Patty Burge of Lumberton; three brothers, Glendol Parker of Louisiana, Paul Parker of Purvis and Hershel Parker of Hattiesburg; four sisters, Mary Lou DooDokyan of California, Elizabeth Kintzel of Hattiesburg, Betty Hammond of Hattiesburg and Amy Johnson of Lumberton; 22 grandchildren; 63 great-grandchildren and 15 great-great- grandchildren.
Visitation will be 5:00-9:00 PM Friday at Corinth Baptist Church.
