Charles Warren Parker
Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, November 6, 2021 at Pleasant Home Cemetery for Mr. Charles Warren Parker, 82, of Purvis, MS.
He died November 3, 2021 at Lamar Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center.
Mr. Parker worked in a variety of jobs over the years, including operating heavy machinery, running a service station, and working as an electrician. At the time of his retirement, he was self-employed as an HVAC technician. His diverse range of experiences and love of helping others led him to spend much of his retirement sharing his years of knowledge with family and friends. When not busy with a project, he enjoyed country music, western films, and coffee. Mr. Parker was a Christian, and member of the Baptist faith.
He was preceded in death by Irene Bufkin Parker; his parents, James Parker and Vermont Massey Parker; his brothers, Wayne Parker and Wallace Parker; his son-in-law, Dale Turner and his granddaughter, Ashton Clark.
He is survived by his three children, Johnny (Michelle) Parker of San Antonio, TX, Melissa (William) Cain of Purvis, MS, and Denise Turner of Purvis, MS; his five grandchildren, Amanda Cain of Nashville, TN, Emily (Justin) Shirley of Purvis, MS, Beau Parker of San Antonio, TX, Laramie Parker of San Antonio, TX, and James Turner of Purvis, MS; his two great-grandchildren, Kynlee Shirley and Cash Shirley, both of Purvis, MS; and his chosen grandchildren, Hilary Robison of Huntsville, AL, Tyler Herring of Clinton, MS, and Sarah Beth Herring, John David Herring, and Callum Herring, all of Learned, MS.
His family deeply appreciates the care given by Lamar Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center and Compassus Hospice.
