Clinton Timothy Tapper, Jr.

Clinton Timothy Tapper, Jr. age 69, of Poplarville, MS died on Sunday, September 8, 2019. He died surrounded by his loving family.
Clinton grew up in Biloxi, MS and was a member of the Biloxi football team and was recently inducted into the Biloxi Sports Hall of Fame. He played football for the University of Southern Mississippi and was inducted into the USM Sports Hall of Fame. After college, he moved to Petal and worked for Petal Schools for many years as the Maintenance and Transportation Director and then became the Physical Plant Director at Pearl River Community College. Clinton enjoyed fishing, visiting with friends and spending time with his family and grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father, Clinton Tapper, Sr. and his mother, Joan Tapper.
He is survived by his wife, Sonya: his sons, Garrett Tapper (Stacey), Shane Tapper(Marcie), and John Taylor Corley; daughter, Claire Parker (Tyson); brother, John Tapper (Jackie); sister, Patricia Hebert (Lonnie);  grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Mallory, Cayman, Trace and Cadence Tapper and a number of nieces and nephews..
Memorial Services to celebrate his life will be held on Wednesday, September 11, 2019 from 5:00-5:30 PM at Hulett- Winstead Funeral Home in Hattiesburg, MS. Visitation will be held from 5:30-7:30 PM at Hulett-Winstead Funeral Home.
