Evelyn Black Dyar

Services will be held Wednesday, January 11, 2012, at 10:00 AM at First Baptist Church of Purvis for Mrs. Evelyn Black Dyar, 92, of Purvis. She died Sunday, January 8, 2012 at her residence. Burial will follow in Coaltown Cemetery.
Mrs. Dyar was retired from Citizens Drug Company and was a member of First Baptist Church of Purvis.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James H. Dyar; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Black, Sr.; sister, Bessie Duck, and  brother, David P. Black, Sr.
She is survived by three daughters, Jeanne and Adele Dyar, and Doris (Bill) Howell all of Purvis; two grandchildren, Scott Howell and Adrienne (Ronnie)Roseberry; four great-grandson, Ty and Cale Howell, and Trace and Luke Roseberry all of Purvis; a brother, O.B. Black, Jr. of Purvis; and a sister, Mrs. Mildred Warren of Jackson.
Visitation will be 5:00-8:00 PM Tuesday at Hulett-Winstead Purvis Chapel and an hour prior to the service Wednesday at the church.
