James Kenneth Moseley
James Kenneth Moseley age 74 suddenly passed away Tuesday April 14, 2020 at his home in Hattiesburg, MS. A family and friends memorial will be held at a future date.
Ken was the only child of the late James Warford (Tex) Moseley and Frances Elizabeth (Babe) Thurman Moseley born April 2, 1946 in Aruba, Dutch West Indies. He grew up in several places until moving to Hattiesburg, MS in the 5th grade. He graduated from Hattiesburg High school, class of 1964. He attended the University of Southern Mississippi, class of 1969. On August 3, 1969 Ken married his wife Winifred Ruth Hellums Moseley. He then enlisted in the U.S. Airforce severing until 1973. Upon discharge he hired on with Ford Motor Credit Company retiring in 2010. During his time with Ford he achieved many awards including the Presidents Award for the years 2002, 2003, and 2004. Ken loved his career so much he quickly returned to work for several dealerships after retirement then finally for Courtesy Ford in Hattiesburg, MS.
Ken had a great love for his Golden Eagles at the University of Southern Mississippi as an alumini since 1969, life-time Eagle Club member, seasonal football ticket holder since the 1970s, seasonal baseball and basketball ticket holder for almost 20 years, Circle of Champions member, and held a seat on the USM Atheletic Foundation Board.
Ken is survived by his mother Frances E. Moseley, wife Winifred R. Hellums Moseley of Hattiesburg, and daughter Alicia Lynne Moseley Windham, son-in-law Jarrett Windham, grandson Oveid-Julian Karthie Windham, and granddaughter Aubrey Lynne Windham of Poplarville. He is proceeded by his father James W. Moseley, grand parents Mr. & Mrs. James F. Moseley and Mr. & Mrs. Roy Thurman.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the USM Atheletic Foundation.
