James Marvin Trigg
James Marvin Trigg, 81, of Hattiesburg, passed away July 30, 2017, at his home in Dixie Community. The visitation will be at Hulett-Winstead Funeral Home, August 1, 2017 from 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm. The service will be held August 2, 2017 at 11:00 am, at New Zion Hill Landmark MBC at 245 Eastabutchie Rd in Petal.
Interment will be held at New Zion Hill Landmark MBC Cemetery with military rites performed by the VFW Post 3036 Honor Guard.
Mr. Trigg served for 22 years in the United States Navy and then was employed 22 years as an accountant with JCJC in Ellisville. When he retired from the Navy his rank was Master Chief Petty Officer, FTCM. While in the Navy he worked on the Polaris and Poseidon Missile Projects. Over the 22-year period he was stationed in Hawaii, Florida, Virginia, Tennessee, New Mexico and Italy. We were all very proud of his service to our country. After his retirement, he ate lunch every day at McDonalds at the Arbor. The staff there knew his order by heart and were very respectful and friendly to him every day.
He was preceded in death by his parents James Arthur and Mary Ondia Trigg; his loving wife, Joyce Elizabeth Eby Trigg; 3 sisters, Maurice Trigg, Mary Edith Clark, and Anna Lou Lewis; and a Daughter, Jacquelyn Marie Trigg.
He is survived by his son, R. Douglas Trigg (Liz), and daughter, Valerie J Sewell (James) both of Hattiesburg, MS and a daughter, Charlotte R Tassan of Wylie, Texas; one sister, Bonnie Jean Brewster of Petal MS; one brother, Rodger R Trigg of Phenix City, AL; three grandsons, Corey Trigg of Collins, Brendon Sewell of Williston, North Dakota and Jacob Tassan of Wylie, Texas; five great-grandkids, Brooke and Olivia Trigg, and Shelby, Zoey and Maddox Sewell.
