Juliette Winstead Jerome

Mrs. Juliette Winstead Jerome passed away on Tuesday, January 2, 2018 at her home in Dixie Community. She was born February 26, 1930 in Philadelphia, MS. She was the oldest child of Ray and Rosabel Winstead. She graduated from Madison High School in 1947 and Nursing School in Vicksburg in 1952. She continued nursing for over 50 years.
Services will be held at 11:30 AM Saturday at Sacred Heart Cathollic Church with visitation beginning at 10:00 AM.
Interment will be in Roseland Park Cemetery.
Mrs. Jerome was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and for many years she was very active member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Elks Club.
She was preceded in death by her son, Thomas (Sonny) Jerome, Jr; and her parents.
She is survived by her husband, Thomas Jerome of Dixie Comm.; one son, Glenn Jerome (Tina) of Brooklyn; four daughters, Priscilla Wheat (Dale) of Brooklyn, Julie Landrum (OD) of Hattiesburg, Frances Boone (Tommy) of Carnes, and Tommie Kirkpatrick (David) of Brooklyn; five sisters, Polly Gintz (Leon) of Alexandra, LA, Betty Starling of Walnut Grove, MS, Sylvia Westbrook (John Paul) of Vaughn, MS, Mary Blakenship (Claude) of Louin, MS, Billie Martin (Don) of Canton, MS; two brothers, Charles Winstead (Jon Anne) Rustin, LA and Bobby Winstead (Boopie) of Canton, MS; ten grandchildren, Dee Wheat (Melissa) of Hattiesburg, Jason Wheat (Sofia) of Brooklyn, Joseph Wheat of Slidell, LA, Eric Boone (Jackie) of Austin, TX, Matthew Boone of Biloxi, Sharla Kemp (Ronnie) of Petal, Nicholas Kirkpatrick (Jessica) of Petal, Michala, Rachel, and Hunter Jerome of Brooklyn; eight great-grandchildren, Josiah and Elizabeth Wheat of Brooklyn, Emy and Addy Boone of Austin, TX, Laken and Emma Kemp of Petal, Jett and Cash Kirkpatrick of Petal.
Mrs. Jerome's grandsons will serve as her pallbearers.
