Linda Dossett

Services will be held at 11 am Tuesday at Main Street Baptist Church for Mrs. Linda Dossett of Petal, MS, who died Saturday, October 26, 2019, at her home.
Burial will be in Highland Cemetery.
Mrs. Dossett was a Member at Large of Beta Sigma Phi, Omicon Chapter. She was a Team Leader in the Forrest County 4-H Program for many years. Linda spearheaded Operation Cookie Lift in Forrest and adjoining counties and, with the help of the Second Army National Guard in Jackson, air-lifted thousands of pounds of cookies and care packages to troops serving in Operation Desert Storm in Saudi Arabia. She was an active member of Main Street Baptist Church for many years and was a volunteer at Wesley Medical Center. Linda loved her family and friends. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She enjoyed cooking, gardening, writing poetry, and traveling.
Mrs. Dossett is survived by her husband, Bobby Dossett of Petal; three sons, Dennis Varnado (Pam) of Bossier City, LA, Eric Varnado of Gulfport, MS, and Lane Dossett (Rhea) of Hattiesburg; one adopted son, O.J. Ojeda of Blue Springs, Mo; three sisters, Karen Walker (Steve) of Mt. Olive, MS, Mary Lee Marion (Bob) of North Palm Beach, FL, and Ginny Burton of Wellington, FL, as well as four grandchildren.
Visitation will begin at 10 am Tuesday at Main Street Baptist Church.
