Joan was a wonderful mother to her children and the best mother-in-law to her three sons-in-law. She served as ‘mom’ to so many others as well: nieces and nephews, cousins, and childhood friends. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren adored their Nana and many nieces and nephews loved Aunt Joan. Our mom learned the name of everyone she met and made each person feel important. To her, each and every person she met was important. She always looked for the best in others and people from all walks of life loved her. Her life was one of love and service and she was the kindest person we have ever known. Ephesians 4:2 says, “Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in them." That was Joan, our Mom, our Nana, and our Aunt Joan.
