MAXINE  PARKER  LOFTON

HEADLAND,  ALABAMA. . .
Maxine Parker Lofton, a former resident of Headland, Alabama and Hattiesburg, Mississippi, died Saturday afternoon, January 27, 2018. She was 94.
Graveside services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Tuesday, January 30, 2018, in the Roseland Park Cemetery, Hattiesburg, MS., with Jim Tucker officiating. Holman-Headland Mortuary & Cremations is in charge of local arrangements. The family will receive friends following the graveside services. Hulett-Winstead Funeral Home  is in charge arrangements in Hattiesburg.
Mrs. Lofton was a native of Louisiana, daughter of the late Lester P. Parker and Blanche Lewis Parker. She lived most of her lifetime in Hattiesburg before moving to Headland, Alabama in 2006. She was retired as a Telephone Operator with Southern Bell Telephone Company in Hattiesburg.  Mrs. Lofton was preceded in death by her husband, Alvin Leroy Lofton, two sisters, Miriam Corbiere and Ann Vaughn and a brother, Barton Parker.
Surviving relatives include a sister, Martha White, Houston, TX; a brother William J. (Bill) Parker (Nell), Headland, AL.; several nieces and nephews.
