Mildred Broome Wagner
Memorial services will be held at a later date for Mrs. Mildred Broome Wagner, 95, of Hattiesburg, MS.
She died Thursday, April 11, 2019 at Bedford Care Center.
Mrs. Wagner was a retired school teacher who lived in Belleville, IL for many years. She returned to Hattiesburg in 1985 where she lived until her death. Mildred was a member of Calvary Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School until she had health issues that made it too difficult for her. She was an avid reader and enjoyed gardening, crochet, and sewing.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph John Wagner; parents, Henry and Nellie Leigh Broome; sister, Merle Whitehead; two brothers, Reva Broome and Horace Broome.
She is survived by one daughter, Jean Wagner Love; one son, Joseph Stanley Wagner; Grandson, Eric Love and wife, Lori; great-grandchildren, Gracie Love and Joshua Love; four brothers, Harry O. Broome of Slidell, LA, Edwin Glenn Broome of Hattiesburg, MS, Bobby Gerald Broome of Florida, and Henry Lamar Broome of Bay St. Louis, MS; several nieces and nephews.
Hulett-Winstead Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
