Robert Earl McGee

It is with great sadness that the family of Robert Earl McGee, better known to his friends as Bob, announce his passing on December 18, 2018, at the age of 91.

He served in the Navy during WWII, worked for the railroad for 25 years, and 41 years at the Forrest County Sheriff’s Department as a deputy and Juvenile Officer, followed by 3 years as a Bailiff.

He was a faithful member of the Petal Church of Christ since it was established in 1973 until his passing.
He is preceded by 3 sisters, 3 brothers, and 1 grandchild.
He is survived by 4 children: William “Billy” Robert McGee, of Hattiesburg, Ms, Kenneth Thomas McGee of Brandon, Ms, Terry Wayne McGee of Purvis, Ms, and Lori Paige Ryals of Hattiesburg, Ms, as well as, 13 grandchildren and 22 great- grandchildren.

A funeral service in memory of Robert Earl McGee will he held on Friday, December 21st, 2018, at 2:00 p.m. at Hulett Winstead Funeral Home Chapel with visitation beginning at 12:00 noon.
He will be laid to rest at Hillcrest Cemetery in Petal, Ms following the funeral service.
Memorial donations in memory of Robert “Bob” McGee, may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital at 501 St. Jude Pl., Memphis, TN 38105-1905.
