William Floyd Polk

Services will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday at Hulett-Winstead Funeral Home Chapel for Mr. William Floyd Polk (TSgt-USAF Ret), 79, of Hattiesburg, MS.
He died Sunday, March 3, 2019 at his residence.
Interment will be in Rawls Springs Cemetery with military honors performed by the VFW Post 3036 honor Guard.
Mr. Polk retired after 21 years in the US Air Force. He was the owner of B&L Trucking Co. and a member of Hattiesburg Community Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Eugene and Venetia Polk; one granddaughter, Angela Waller and one great-grandson, Jonathan Casares.
He is survived by his wife, Linda  Colby Polk of Hattiesburg, MS; one son, William F. Polk, II (Nancy) of Greenville, TX; two daughters, Sheila Gillum (James) of Hattiesburg, MS and Mitzi Traynham (Eddie) of Panama City, FL; two sisters, Dorothy Toler of Crosby, TX and Betty Walters of Hattiesburg, MS; three brothers, Roger Polk of Yazoo City, MS, Kelly Polk of Franklin, NC, and Jimmy Beard of Ridgeland, MS; thirteen grandchildren, Rachel Austin, Matthew Gillum,, Rachel Gillum, Donnie Gillum, Kaitlin Bruhl, Eric Polk, Jennifer Polk, Tyler Polk, Amanda Lewis, J.T. Gillum, Nikolas Gillum, Brandi Holden, and Kari Spaniel and thirteen great-grandchildren.

Visitation will begin at 9:30 AM Wednesday at Hulett-Winstead Funeral Home.
